objects of affection

To speak, or not to speak………that is the question!

Every since I have started my business and photography blog I have often fought with the question of “HOW MUCH DO I SHARE” with my readers and clients?

First of all I am a HORRIBLE speller, I can’t construct a sentence to save my life and often have a slew of thoughts that roll through my mind that only make sense to me.

But after talking with a few fellow photographers the other night I thought to myself  “I can be judged for my errors, or I can let go and speak about my photography, life and the heart behind these images!”

So this is my formal disclaimer to let you all know that I am not the best speller, I am not always grammatically correct…if ever, I put comma’s in the wrong places (that makes my Husband crazy), I use there instead of their sometimes and the list goes on….but I do have a heart full of love, questions, thoughts and a few answers that I would like to share…so mark this day as a liberation to get to know the girl behind the camera. I may not be full of surprises or excitement, but I do promise you will find a connection on one level or an other:)

This post is the beginning of my “Objections of Affection” section. This last Thursday I attended the monthly PUG meeting which is a group of photographers that use the services of Pictage. We use Pictage for all our online viewing galleries and print orders. This night was special though because the CEO of Pictage, Jim Collins, was the guest speaker. I won’t go into great detail, but he did speak about shooting once in a while some “PERSONAL WORK”. Not only to stay inspired, but to really enjoy our craft.

So not only is this the start of a more personal blog (not too personal though….you really don’t care what I am don’t every second) but it is the start of “Objects of Affection”. (Thanks T:)

The image above is some of the great things in my life….Apple products that help me achieve my dreams and help store others dreams, the rings that represent the vows I took with the love of my life that supports me and of course the pureness of the white image and the sky reflecting in the Apple reminds me of the man upstairs that has made all of these things possible for me. This is an image of dreams, life and Love. What else could a lady ask for? I adore Apple products, Canon for capturing these images, rings that represent a promise and the best thing ever……….HIM!

Love you BP!

my ring…

His ring….yes it is worn and beaten up and last weekend was elbow deep in concrete:( but the scratches and dents are not scars, but marks of growth in our relationship.

It is more sacred to me today than the date it was purchased:)

All together, these images make me smile!

I am going to be posting a few images every so often of my “Objects of Affection”. I hope you enjoy and even though I can’t spell or write well…..thanks for listening!

Shine On~
